In 2000, their respective
consulting businesses were combined into one organization called Commodity
Resources International. Their shared business experiences and knowledge of
international trade gave them a unique perspective and understanding of the
dynamics of virtually all facets of international business, trade, and finance.
Prior to his passing in
2004, David Costanzo had personally traveled to and done business in a total of 46 counties on 5
continents. Stephen has traveled to and done business in 25 countries on 4
continents. Together they have done business in 71 nations, 60 of which are
distinct and different countries.

was founded on that experience and knowledge base and now includes the
additional combined

experience and
through-out all of South and Central America doing
export consulting. In 1970 Mr. Costanzo’s sales and export consulting took
him to virtually every country of the Middle East, from Iran to Lebanon and
all countries in between. From 1973 until 1983 the business was
headquartered in the Lake Como area of Italy. Mr. Costanzo was fluent in 4
languages and effective in several others. His cross cultural experience
and international business savvy allowed him to assist clients conducting
business in Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the
United States. In 1983 the business was moved back to its roots in the
United State’s picturesque Pacific Northwest region.
Mr.
Costanzo’s eldest son, Stephen, prepared for taking up the mantle of his father’s business
by completing a four-and-a-half year degree program with concentrations in
International Business and Finance at Oregon State University, and graduate
studies in business at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
